Strangers Decide What I Eat For A Day !!

Today I'm going to allow complete strangers be in control of my meals. I thought it'd be fun to try something completely random and new. I have seen this trend going around on YouTube where people go around and order the exact same thing as the person in front of them - so, let's do it.

I always start my day off with a coffee. This is the only time I'll consider myself picky when it comes to something and that's my coffee. I absolutely hate hot coffee, any added syrups or sweeteners, and dairy products in it. With that being said, my go to drink is an iced coffee with almond milk, nothing else added to it. So, why not make it interesting and go to Starbucks and order what the person in front of me gets. I am pretty knowledgeable on everything they have to offer drink and food wise. I pulled up behind a mini van and saw two people in the vehicle. I got excited that maybe they’d order a few items and that I’d get blessed with both a drink and food item.

I asked for the same order as the person in front of me and pulled up to the window - my total was $3.61. I was handed a tall nonfat no foam latte.

Since it was a hot drink, I let it sit for thirty minutes before drinking so it wasn't as hot, but the dairy in it is what I didn’t like. It wasn't the worst thing in the world, but something I definitely wouldn't order.

Chick-Fil-A was the next stop as it was approaching lunch time. Luckily there was one car, so I quickly pulled up behind it and asked for the same order they had gotten. Once again I asked for the same exact order and pulled up - it was $19.51.

I knew that they were a bit more expensive compared to other places, but I was nervous about how much food I was receiving for that amount. Surely enough I was handed not one, but TWO milkshakes. One was coffee flavored and the other was peach. Following the drinks, I was handed two bags of food – one was a grilled BBQ chicken sandwich and the other was a small salad. The sandwich was actually pretty good and I was relieved it was grilled chicken and not fried. The salad was decent, but not worth the price I was charged for it. The milkshakes were just eh - nothing too special.

I met up with a friend for dinner, which made it a little difficult. I asked to order whatever the last thing was the server put in. It ended up being hummus for an appetizer and a plain, black bean burger with fries as the meal. Overall, this trend or challenge, whatever it is, I’ve seen going around of ordering what the person got in front of you was interesting. Nothing I got was crazy or different, but I did try some things out I wouldn't order willingly. I encourage everyone to give this a try. You don't have to do it all day as I did, but next time you're in line at Starbucks and are wanting to try something new, just ask for whatever the person got in front of you. It can be hit or miss, but who knows, you might actually like what you get.

Until Next Time,

- B
