In the last couple of days I have felt lost at what God wants for my life. Ever since March of 2018 a few unexpected events occurred that were horrible - one of which being the passing of my Grandma unexpectedly from cancer. It seems as though I just can't catch a break. Things will be going well for a couple of months then something comes up unexpectedly. Yeah, that's life unfortunately, and I'm trying to focus on school, work, and extracurricular activities. But it's hard when thing after thing keeps coming up and knowing your family/friends are struggling as well.
A few days ago something happened within my family that I was completely blindsided by that has left me heartbroken, lost and just confused as to why it was happening. Reaching out to a friend when I needed support and he told me all I could do was pray and turn to the Bible for strength during this time of difficulty. I have found a few verses that have helped and are helping me in this time of difficulty.
1. Isaiah 43:2
"When you go through deep waters, I will be with you."
2. Psalm 37:5
"Commit your way to the Lord, Trust in Him, and He will act."
3. Romans 8:18
"The pain that you've been feeling, can't compare to the joy that's coming."
4. Proverbs 31:25
"She is clothed in strength, and dignity, and she laughs without fear of the future."
5. Ecclesiastes 3:1
"There is a time for everything and a reason for every activity under the heavens."
6. Isaiah 41:10
"Don't be afraid, for I am with you. Don't be discouraged, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you. I will hold you up with my victorious right hand."
7. Isaiah 66:9
"I will not cause pain without allowing something new to be born, says the Lord."
8. Psalm 91:4
"He will cover you with His feathers, and under His wings, you will find refuge; His faithfulness will be your shield and rampart."
9. Psalm 62:1-2
"My soul finds rest in God alone, my salvation comes from Him, He alone is my rock and my salvation."
10. Philippians 4:13
"I can do everything through Christ who gives me strength."
11. Jeremiah 29:11
"For I know the plans I have for you, plans to prosper you and not harm you, plans to give you hope and a future."
12. John 16:33
“I tell you these things to that you may have peace. In this life you will have trouble, but take heart! I have overcome the world.”
13. Romans 8:28
“And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.”
14. John 13:7
Jesus replied “you do not realize now what I am doing, but later you will understand."
Before I found Christ and giving my life to Him, I felt He was constantly testing me by throwing tough situations my way left and right. Those difficult times though is what drew me closer to Him and though I have been struggling the last couple of days with what's been thrown my way once again, I know that I am not alone.
